A New Law of Nature is science fiction and romantic comedy, apocalyptic and utopian. It is about the edgy relationship between Abe, an astrophysicist and data analyst, and his pregnant wife, Ashley. Abe discovers a disturbance, a possible black hole, at the edge of the universe. However, the disturbance disappears and reappears, approaching Earth faster than the speed of light. Is it a glitch in analytic software, an evaporating black hole, a worm hole or some other amazing discovery?
As Abe’s discovery and Ashley’s pregnancy progress, the world moves closer to nuclear war.
All comes together when Ashley gives birth, the bombs fly and a cosmic disturbance hits the Earth bringing the parparim (swarms of beautiful butterflies who entertain all who seek peace and love) and the tzira (swarms of ferocious bees who kill all who seek hate and war). In the end, there is justice and peace on Earth, at least for a few days.
