We lost electricity last night in a severe rain storm and it took us most of the day to get it restored. It reminded me to take nothing for granted and to appreciate the simple things in life such as a refrigerator, electrical lights, computers/Internet, television and telephones.
At least we had a roof over our heads and good local shwarma (gyro, souvlaki) restaurants.
