Every story has a story. The media likes to link the "Experienced MIT Grad for Hire" sign board with eventual success in finding a job, but the"sandwich man" did not get hired by Weiser LLP because of publicity. He got hired because of his credentials and experience.
As my supervisor, Elliot Ogulnick, told "Accounting Tomorrow":
I thought it was very innovative. However, I wasn’t impressed by it. It didn’t lure me to him, but I give him credit for what he did. He got hired because of his merits.

Elliot and I are scheduled to be on CNN tomorrow at around 5:15 PM EST.
My phone is ringing off the hook from all the recent publicity, and emails keep flowing in from around the country and around the world:
I read about your recent success. Weiser is a great company....Weiser has been doing my family's taxes for years. I remember when I met you, I thought, this guy is on to something. If I lose my job, I wonder where you get those signs.
Best wishes,

Dear Mr. Persky, Sorry to disturb you. I'm a Chinese university student, majoring in landscape architecture. I've just finished my essay on how would the subprime lending crisis affect the employment situation of Chinese university students. On Dec. 12th, I read about your experience on newspaper (and got your email from the picture). Therefore, I realized that I had been too optimistic about that problem. Even in China, many branches of foreign companies have shrinked the number of employees, which means dismiss some of the dedicated young university graduates and employ less. I wonder if situation would be worse when I enter the working world in 2011 after my graduation, and what the employment situation will be like in the US since I once dreamed of getting my post-graduate education there. Would you please, if possible, write something about that? I'm terribly sorry for taking your time!
