Within an hours after I moved back to New York City, as synchronicity would have it, Fox & Friends called to see how I was doing. Apparently, there is a fellow roaming the streets of NYC, wearing a sign board, searching for employment. The Fox & Friends producer wanted to know if I had any advice for the copy-cat sandwich man and invited me to the studio for an interview. However, I am in Omaha this week, so we'll see if it's still relevant next week.
I also received a call from a Japanese television station, NHK, asking if I were interested in joining a panel of intellectuals discussing the financial crisis and the American economy. When I mentioned that I had found a job and was returning to work next week, the producer said that they were really looking for an intellectual who is unemployed but may consider me anyway!
My picture is still circulating in China:
