My interview this morning for an asset management position at a hedge fund went well. They want a couple of references, so I contacted the person who supervised me when I managed a portfolio of syndicated loans, the former CEO of Fortis Capital, giving him the heads up. He wrote back:
Joshua:No problem. They can contact me at __________.Good luck!Regards
My rejection of the day came from a recruiter:
Josh,Hope things are well with you and your search continues to yield promising opportunities.I've gotten some feedback from [large successful web-based company] regarding the Director of Strategic Dev position. While they were very impressed with your resume, they area seeking more specific marketing background along with generalized business dev work.I will continue to keep you updated on any opportunities I think will interest you. FYI- no new news from _________ - they've revised their search slightly and hiring a CFO/COO has kicked down a couple of notches on the corporate priority list.Hope to be in touch again soon,
Best Regards,
I received a call last night from a curious fellow in Tennessee who said he was sitting in a Chinese restaurant looking at a magazine entirely in Chinese. He does not read Chinese, he admitted, but asked me if I was aware that my picture with sign-board was in a newly published Chinese magazine. Today, I received an email with a PDF of my picture in the magazine. Thank you Rochel Albertson for bringing this to my attention!

I just spoke to a very interesting fellow from Mississippi, Duane Lamb. He and Byrd Pressley would like to interview me on the seasonal premier of their "Byrd Talk" show on IMC Radio. They are in the music business, trying to help out struggling independent artists, and feel that my story will speak to their audience, "as everyone is looking for their next gig."
